Political Urbanization

The once-a-decade cycle of the redrawing of voting districts is upon us, along with the normal accusations of partisan politics and back room deals made in the interest of self-preservation. But with the advent of high-tech mapping software and a significant population shift from rural communities to urban centers, this year’s Redistricting may have significant implications for the Carolinas in future elections. Joining us for this discussion is Ferrel Guillory at the UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Jonathan Kappler of the NC FreeEnterprise Foundation and Louis Gossett of the SC Manufacturers Association
